The City of Poughkeepsie Democratic Committee is the local arm of the Democratic Party. Each electoral district in the city elects two committee members to represent them for two year terms. We aspire to encourage participation in local government and find candidates for office.
Our mission is to help keep Poughkeepsie blue and elect Democratic candidates to City, County, and State offices. We want to return a powerful voice to Poughkeepsie residents. It is our consistent goal to promote a more participatory government which reflects the needs and choices of all the City’s residents.
