I’m John Purcarea, and I am running to be your next 2nd Ward Councilman. I have been calling Poughkeepsie home since 2018. Like most, I have fallen in love with the Queen City. I’ve always felt Poughkeepsie could be more. We can all agree that Poughkeepsie has so much more to offer and it is full of so much potential. With the right tools, motivation and people at the helm, it can be steered in the right direction. A direction that works for everyone. A direction that residents can be proud to call it home. They say if you want something done right, do it yourself. That is the reason why I’ve decided to run. I’m tired of unanswered emails and unresponsive representatives. I’m tired of simple issues not being addressed. Let’s make Poughkeepsie the city that we all love to work, play, live and thrive in. So let’s start with the 2nd Ward!
